New Year, Old Blog

After trying a few things to try to bring our family together and get to know each other, I'm coming back to the blog. Facebook is fun, and is convenient to post pics and snag pics from each other. However, it is too public and too brief. The round-robin newsletter that I know others have had success with is too slow, and too easy to forget about, and never made even a first round! I have heard that there may have been some apprehension about posting and commenting on posts, that it might cause some kind of trouble. I'm not so complex. In fact, I'm very WSIWYG. We have an adult family with many different views, and it would be very interesting to air them intelligently. Some of my favorite moments have been dialoging about world-views. My only wish is that comments be thoughtful, and questions be written respectfully. It would be great to hear what is going on in people's minds, since we don't have the opportunity to be together much. I'm not a great telephoner, and neither are any of our sons, as it turns out. Any ideas for a topic? It would be great actually, if everyone on the list started a post on whatever they're thinking currently.
