Staying Connected

This is the photo I have on my computer desktop at work. When I get to the bottom of my windows as I prepare for the next task, it makes me smile every time.
I'm taken by the earnestness in Sam's face. He has his fingers poised and is really making music. He seems to also be singing. Looking out from his face as an individual, I see his father's and mother's faces.
Ricky's delighted clapping and definite singing is joyful. HIS father and mother are also both evident in his face.
These two babies (Thanksgiving 2007) are sharing an experience, and working harmoniously together. There are other pictures where Ricky is playing and Sam is clapping.
What I keep hoping for us as a family, is that we will emulate this innocent time. I would like more shared experiences, times of listening, times of sharing, and times of supporting. I see families around us who truly appreciate each other and take the time to continue to build their relationships. We have a great start. I think we like each other, as well as love each other.
As I inaugurate this blog, I hope that our family members will post frequently, about what they are doing, thinking, wishing, needing. I know I tried the round-robin e-mail letter, but that got hung up in busy-ness of life. I've invited G-ma Womack, G-ma Oakley, Daniel & Victoria, Richard & Carisa, and James & Donielle to be part of our posting community. I have the blog set to give you an email when something is posted, and I hope people will post & respond to postings frequently. --Mom
